Kill someone in Kwari

If you fancy going head to head against someone and shooting the crap out of them (Hmm, I could think of a few people) but you don’t want the old problems of ‘police’ and ‘law’ to get in your way, have a look at this video.

They even ensure anonymity so if things get out of hand there’s no chance of ‘real world’ retaliation.

Go on, shoot the bastards!

New laws on deactivated weapons

According the Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, the government is looking at changing the law with regards to deactivated weapons in the UK. This could affect me personally as I have a pretend M-16 Assault rifle model which was used for a film we made some year’s ago.

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said here:

“I want to balance protecting the public with the rights of responsible collectors of deactivated firearms,” she said.

High-profile murders such as the shooting of 11-year-old Rhys Jones as he walked home from football practice in Liverpool last August have raised public concerns about of gun crime.

To be honest though, I’m relatively sure that Rhys Jones wasn’t shot with a deactivated gun, he was shot with one that works. This brings me back to my post about the Americans and their banning of Megatron toys.

When will common sense prevail and actual REAL guns be pin-pointed as the problem in shootings?

Surely it’s fucking obvious?

Google bitch slaps me with another drop in Page Rank

I’ve just noticed my site has dropped another rank according to Google, I’m now a PR3. I was a 4 this morning, and a 5 before Christmas. Guess that’s what you get for selling links and blog posts.

You caught me Google, yer cheeky monkey!

I won’t change my ways though, and my Google traffic has increased if anything. This just shows hows inaccurate Page Rank is as a medium for measuring a website’s worth. Traffic is the true yard stick, so my yard is nicely formatted thank you.

PHP and JavaScript code tips website

I recently raged about coding an old ASP website I’d built a while back and how it was it a pain in the ass. I mentioned how now that I’ve discovered PHP my life is no longer filled with unfathomable error messages from Microsoft and gaping wide security holes. ’tis all true.

However even in PHP you need a little help once in a while, which is why this code tips website, talkincode.com, seemingly run by HAL is a great site to add to your bookmarks.

Talk in Code

Featuring advice and code samples for PHP, JavaScript and MySQL this site has answers to questions you’d otherwise spend hours looking for. Sadly there isn’t much in the way of ASP advice on there, but probably the best ASP advice is “don’t”.
