Cardiff Devils Devils Playoffs

Just a quick note to say good luck to the Devils in the playoffs this weekend as they take on the Blaze in the semi finals on Saturday.

They’ve had a turbulant season playing without a home rink for the first few months, losing their manager and now changing ownership for next season as well. Already British Knockout Cup winners a playoff victory would make this difficult time one of their most successful to boot.

Let’s go Devils, let’s go!

W3C Sites

For many web designer and developers out there the thought of validating a website to W3C standards is a scary, pointless pain the ass.

To others, like me, it’s kinda important. On this note I’ve found a great web directory that only lists Valid HTML websites, and you can see my profile here: http://www.w3csites.com/profile.asp?u=JakeCop.

I would add MrDaz.com, but the sodding YouTube embeded code invalidates the markup. Foiled by Google, those very people who prize valid markup so highly. The irony eh?

Stupid Police

Righto people, I’ve been away a bit as I’ve been working up North and haven’t had Internet access for a while.

Well, I’m back and have some rants to catch up on. First off happened last Sunday. On my way to see the Devils play in Cardiff I was cut up by a BMW 3 series driven by some guy older than death himself.

He was so blind, I swear he didn’t even see me.

Well, naturally I tailgaited the twat all along the docks road and sped past him on the duel carraigeway, only to see a copper behind me.

Bollocks.

I slowed to something resembling the speed limit (didn’t want to look whipped) and turned off. The sod followed me then turned his lights on.

Double bollocks.

I pulled over thinking he must have seen me tailgating and speeding.

He came up to car as I lowered the window, and the tosser said.

“I could be wrong, but I thought I saw with a phone to your left ear as you went round the roundabout”

What a knob. No, I said. I didn’t. He couldn’t have ‘thought’ he saw me do that as I drive with my hand fixed to the gear stick, it’s the way I drive.

What a tosser, he obviously had nothing better to do.

Moondance

It’s funny sometimes how the lyrics of a song can perfectly some up your mood, situation and entire life. When the same song also has a special meaning it can sure get weird.

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
neath the cover of october skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night’s magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

Can I just have one a more moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love

Well, I wanna make love to you tonight
I cant wait til the morning has come
And I know that the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that youre never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me that you cant hide

Can I just have one a more moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
neath the cover of october skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night’s magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

One more moondance with you in the moonlight
On a magic night
La, la, la, la in the moonlight
On a magic night
Can’t I just have one more dance with you my love

Devils v Blaze

I just wanted to say that Saturday’s hockey game between Cardiff Devils and top of the table Coventry Blaze was probably the best I’ve ever seen the Devils play.

They showed so much hussle and determination to win that even after going a goal down they didn’t quit. Winning 3-1 and ending the game with a full team brawl was awsome. The crowd chanting ‘LOSERS’ at the Blaze was funny too.

Great game, glad I chose to miss the rugby for it.

So much anger, so little time
