Insurance companies are staffed by wankers and idiots who are unable to think for themselves. Imagine if you asked for a quote and told them your car was nicked previously and that the theives may still have a set of keys. On that risk alone they'd not insure you, yet that was a 'may have' situation. I've never claimed, have driven for 23 years without an accident yet my premium rises by 20% per year.
