Increasing the payment threshold so as to get fewer but larger cheques reduces the cost of depositing foreign cheques when your bank charges per item.

At my bank, nationwide, they always seem annoyed that I have a foreign cheque..... at least it's only one page for them. But they charge between £7.5 - £20.

It seems that with Barclays, you can open a $ account, but still, they charge £6-9 for each cheque.

I also wish amazon.com would pay by direct deposit, like Google Adsense, and many others.
