The final straw with my ex wife

The letter I received from the CSA today saying my ex-wife had disputed I’d made any mortgage payments was the final straw. I’ve just sent this to my solicitor.

Hi Kelly and Chris.

I’ve just received another letter from Kelly that is exactly the same as one Chris has already sent. Can you guys make sure you’re not sending me the same information as I’ve received duplicate letters from you both twice now. Obviously I don’t want to be charged twice for the same letter!

In answer to ETLP’s letter this time, I would like to point out straight away that I have not ‘changed my mind’ as they have suggested. Mrs Jamieson has reneged on the agreed offer in an attempt to get more money from me for her inevitable repayment to Direct Line. We had an agreement, she changed it.

I will obviously not consider her offer as the condition of the house has changed and the time wasted has caused me to accrue more mortgage arrears.

I would consider buying the house from her if she removes all 3 references that Kelly highlighted in the offer. I require this as I fully intend to help Direct Line insurance pursue Mrs Jamieson for the money she illegally obtained from them, and I wish Direct Line to compensate me for the depreciation on my car, and the loan I paid on it while it was in limbo for a year as a result of theirs, and her actions.

I also require the amount of arrears to be deducted from the offer I made to her, which means I will offer her £10,000 for her share in the house, the furniture and everything else inside. Including the items she has removed, the two canvas paintings and the two Michael Jackson jackets.

Furthermore she has once again lied to the CSA saying that I have not made mortgage payments on the house. The CSA being the CSA have taken what she has said as fact and have refused to consider my variations form, meaning I am having too much money deducted from my earnings. She must contact the CSA immediately and inform them that I have been making the payments from January – August. In addition if I buy the house from her I will of course be paying the arrears, which takes us up to date.

If she does not agree to all of this, without exception, the house will be repossessed with my blessing.

I can’t stress enough how serious I am about this and how I am FULLY prepared to let the house be repossessed. I have had enough of her crap, if she wants to lose the house then I will allow it to go, simple as that.

Obviously with regards to the CSA I merely have to show them mortgage statements to prove I have made the payments, but as they are so painfully slow and incompetent they will take months, if not years to correctly identify what I have paid. This is why she must do it. Immediately.

Please let me know what her response is as to be perfectly honest I couldn’t care less any more either way. I’m 50/50 on letting the house go and washing my hands of her.

Thanks for your time.

Darren

My car has been fixed!

I arrived home today at 6:05pm to be greeted with the sight I never thought I’d see. My BMW Z3 sat on a flat bed outside my house. It has now, after 17 months, been fixed.

I’m in too much shock to post up a full review of my emotions and feelings towards all of this, and how it has affected me over the last year and a half. I’ll give a detailed summary tomorrow.

But for now, my car, my pride and joy, has been returned to me.

I need a drink.

My compensation from Direct Line

I received this cheque for £200 from Direct Line in August, but until now hadn’t cashed it. I was resentful of their insulting offer and had stuffed the cheque away somewhere, refusing to look at it.

I’ve decided now not only to cash it, but to parade it around like some trophy. I will still be pursuing Direct Line for more as £200 barely covers one month’s payment on the car they caused me to store for over a year through their error. I want a lot more than this, but I figured I’d cash it anyway.

This does after all prove they’ve admitted fault, plus their admission of fault in the letter… that helped too!

Direct Line Insurance offer me insurance on my BMW Z3

Direct Line Insurance Z3You couldn’t make this up. Not content with paying out the wrong person when my car is stolen and refusing to compensate me for the last 12 months, Direct Line Insurance have just emailed me (well, my ex wife, but it’s my domain) to ask if I have a BMW Z3 and if I require car insurance through them.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Why would I insure my Z3 with Direct Line Insurance when they’ve already paid out on it, to someone else?

This would make a good avert.

Customer: I’m tired of insurance companies that pay out when I need them.

Voice-over: At Direct Line, it’s our policy to pay out someone else when your car is stolen, place a stolen marker on the car and try to repossess the car from you when it is recovered.

Customer: That’s better

In fact, I think I might shoot that advert. Direct Line Insurance, you have been warned.

Mr Daz becomes an affiliate of More Than Insurance

If you remember a few weeks ago I applied to the affiliate scheme for Direct Line Insurance, the company who paid out the wrong person after my car was stolen and then recovered, and placed a stolen car marker on it refusing to release it for over a year. Consequently my car was in limbo while I continued to pay the loan on it and Direct Line refused to speak to me, save for to insist I hand the car over to them.

Well they refused this website’s entry into their affiliate scheme, which at least shows they pay attention when someone is going to ridicule them some more.

Royal & SunAlliance on the other hand, owned by More Than Insurance, haven’t been quite so careful. I’ve just been accepted into the More Than affiliate scheme, so can monetise my Royal & SunAlliance blogs with More Than adverts.

In case you’re unfamiliar where Royal & SunAlliance come into this, they’re the company who should have fixed my car after it had been recovered, and still haven’t done it some 15 months later.

If you would like a full recap on just how Direct Line Insurance and Royal & SunAlliance have cocked up simply read all of the blogs under the stolen car tag.

Google have found my car

Google maps have been updated with new satellite images, showing my stolen BMW Z3 outside my frikin’ house.

Google Maps

You can see it there in the middle of the photo, the red BMW Z3 with the black roof. If only Direct Line Insurance were as efficient as Google, I might have actually got the damn thing back on the road 15 months later… and still counting.

#1 in Yahoo for Chris Moat

In case you’d thought I’d gone quiet on the efforts to rank MrDaz.com #1 in Google for the name of the MD of Direct Line Insurance, Chris Moat, here’s an update. We’re still hovering around the #2/#3 mark in Google, but we’ve hit the top spot in Yahoo!

Chris Moat YahooIt’s not that clever really, Yahoo! has always been the easier of the 3 search engines within which to gain rankings, so ranking #1 in Yahoo! for Chris Moat isn’t something I’m shouting about too much. But of course, by making this post about Chris Moat of Direct Line Insurance we’re giving that little bit extra boost to our content for the Google rankings, which after all, are the main event.

Here’s the customary screen grab anyhow.

MrDaz.com ranks Page 4 in Google for Direct Line Insurance

Well this is an interesting, yet not unexpected turn of events. In my effort to rank #1 in Google for the name of the MD of Direct Line Insurance, one Mr Chris Moat, I have crept up the listings for none other than ‘Direct Line Insurance’.

Imagine what potential customers must think if they search for Direct Line and find my website, complete with a history of what Direct Line Insurance did to me regarding my stolen BMW Z3.

It won’t look good for them. Anyhow, have a look at this screenshot of Google’s SERPs.
